My Little Rose

I cant imagine how time could be so unkind! Minutes turn into hours and hours into days. Days become weeks and the next thing you know four months have past. My sweet Ava Rose you are growing so quickly. So beautifully! You brighten up every room with your sweet smile, never leaving a smile unreturned. I am so glad that God chose me to be your mommy! You have been a blessing and I love you very much. So as much as I hate to say it, keep growing my precious little one. Alas I look forward to watching you become the young lady I know you will be.

things kids say

I am kept laughing through out the day by the things my children say. Yesterday Devon was goofing off and put ace bandages all over himself. He came downstairs and I asked him what happened. He said "it was a horrible spoon incident...you don't want to know"

Then I made this knew Jasmine green tea I received from the bulkherbstore. I asked Devon to taste it. He did, and with a very sober face said, " It tastes like water mixed with the hand soap you have upstairs." Looks like I have a lot of Jasmine green tea to drink, because no one else liked it but me.

This morning I was sitting at the computer with Ava on one knee and Eve on the other, trying to type through their heads......I went to my blog and she saw the pictures to the left and said, "look, my mommy, and my boys" So sweet, her boys.

I love this job!!

Reedicoolous!

Have you ever sat on the phone for 30 minutes waiting on customer service from (you choose the company). You finally get someone on the phone only to be disconnected after getting halfway through your first question? After yelling "NO, NO...this cant be happening" you have a thought of hope. He will call me back, because surely he knows I have been waiting for 30 minutes to talk to him. You wait...no ring....wait longer....no ring. You SCREAM inside your head as not to alarm the children who have been standing around you for 30 minutes wanting a drink or a toy or to be held. Finally you sit down in despair. You do say out loud this is ridiculous...completely ridiculous. Then your little precious parrot says "reedicoolous mom?" and you smile, "Yes honey Reedicoolous!!

Kids or Dogs?

Two choices.....Kids, or a Dog? Life decisions that people have to make are never simple. The importance of the initial decision should always be examined over the long run. Memories made and cherished are sure to be tempered along the way. Consider the following two choices...

Should I get a Dog ....

Should we have Children........

I thought this was hilarious! Oh my, I'm sure that paint was a ton of fun to clean up. LOL We all know that you should have both, and lots of the later while enjoying the laughs along the way.

Do you need a laugh?

Eve loves shoes, all kinds of shoes and they don't have to be pretty they just have to be shoes. I had bought her a pair of those plastic dress up shoes out of the toy isle a few weeks ago. She loved them and wore them everywhere. Well another one of Eves loves is being outside. She comes by that honestly because I do to. So a few days back Jordan says mom Eve is outside and you should go look at her. So I did and what I saw was hilarious.

I guess this proves that all a girl really needs is a pretty pair of shoes.

Kid Comedy

Over at In a shoe you will find some funny kid comedy. Here is my contribution.

One of the questions/comments that a mother hears on a daily basis many, many times a day is "MOM, I'm thirsty" or MOM, I need a drink" or if you are my 22 month old you will say "Wheres my weeowww?" This is what she calls her drink, we still haven't figured out where it came from, but its cute. So when I hear this question/comment I dutifully go to the fridge and ask "milk or tea?" Which leads us to the kid comedy. Yesterday I was nursing my 9 week old and my four year old asks "MOM, did Ava ( 9 week old) want tea or milk? ROTFL

My Baby Boy

Today, 4 years ago my precious Elijah Bryce was born. You have been unique while holding your own records in many categories of the Stucker clan. Your first record holding event was held on this very day in the year 2003. You came into this world in a big hurry. After about 30 minutes of my first contraction I was holding you in my arms. Needless to say you hold the title "fastest baby" You are the only delivery that your daddy ever missed and he was so upset that you didn't wait for him to get home! You also hold the record for "biggest baby" at a whopping 9 lbs, 22 inches. Must have been that fresh, clean mountain air. I was told that Babbie's in high altitudes are smaller....I think we proved that theory wrong. You are our only CO baby although we have made a solemn pact to never tell you you aren't a Texan. :-)

You also are my last son in a long line of sons. Oh how I just knew you were a girl...but you weren't. You were my precious 5th son. There is much about you that is precious to me. Your big brown eyes and sweet smile. Your kisses and cuddles. I love you very much my sweet little boy!

Marvelous Mondays ;-)

Its Monday once again. I cant believe it is almost the end of March already. Where does all the time go? This is my favorite time of year. All the trees are blossoming and blooming, the smells are wonderful. The birds all around singing their songs. The color green emerging all over the ground. There is something so comforting in a field of green grass that sways with the wind. I just love it!

Yesterday I sewed Eve another dress. I'm working on getting her summer outfits finished. This time I used stretchy,T-shirt type material, I know theres a seamstress word for it but it has slipped my mind. The dress after completion was lovely, but sewing it was a challenge. It definately takes a bit more patience to work with than regular cotton material. But worth it. Here is miss Eve modeling her latest summer dress. She was not in the mood for pictures, I finally had her pinned in the corner of the kitchen and was able to get a shot.

Here is my baby lover Jordan. Ava was crying and he picked her up and sat down in the rocking chair and rocked her to sleep, so precious! Ava slept all night last night and I am paying for it this morning (you nursing momys know what I am talking about ;-) She had been nursing at 9:30pm and sleeping until 2:30am, nursed and then slept till 6:00am which was perfect. Then Saturday night my body woke up at 3:00am and she was just snoozing away, I woke her, fed her and put her back down. Then last night she and I both just snoozed right through the whole night. She was ravenous this morning. I called her my little piggy and Seth said no mom shes a "pig in a blanket" LOL

Well I need to get busy around here. Letisha I am getting requests for the peanut butter ball recipe. So give it up girl! Edited Later: Letishas Peanut Butter Balls

I pray that all you lovely moms have a blessed week, filled with laughter, patience and love. We are blessed and in the spring season of our lives. May you make memories this week to last a lifetime. May you run your homes efficeintly and orderly to the best of your ability with the Fathers help. So let it be!

Girly Girls

I feel much better now, I sewed Eve a dress yesterday and it was so much fun! I missed it so very much. I have a few more to sew for the girls. I havent tried anything as small as Avas size, but I am going to give it a shot. I dont think my sewing machine will accomodate the small arm holes, but we will just try it and see. The grettest thing about sewing your own clothing is that you get to pick out the cuttest materials.

Sisters till the end!

She is getting so big now! Smiling and laughing at ya. She tries to talk to you with her coos and awws! I love it!

Baby Parts

My precious baby girl is 3 weeks old today. Time just comes and goes like the wind. She has already changed so much from when she was born. The only bad thing about babies is that I just want to sit all day and snuggle and sniff and eat up their precious cheeks. She is sleeping pretty well through the night with little to no bouts of crying. I have been super blessed with all my little ones personalities.

MMmmmmm

I am sitting here with chocolate under my finger nails, a milk mustache and a serious tummy ache from eating about 10 chocolate covered peanut butter balls. Thank you sooooo much Letisha, you are such a sweet heart! How did you know I have been having a serious sweet tooth these past few days?

Eve thought they were fabulous as well!

Now what to do with all that practical packing material you used, I loved that! I think sense the weather is so nice and we have an endless supply of trash bags, the boys are going to go pooper scoop and pick up the back yard ;-) Yep thats their sighs you hear. Actually they are arguing over who is going to do it...and that would be my sighs you are hearing now ;-/

Safe and Sound in my Arms!

Thank you all so much for all of your prayers, I could really feel them pulling me through and the timing for everything was perfect...of course!

I called Rob at 1:00 and said that I wanted him to try and leave early from work. He said he would rap things up and be on his way, then I called him 30 minutes later and asked him "when are you leaving?" his response was "right now" good answer, buy that time I was very uncomfortable and wanting my hubby.

I called the midwife at around 1:45 and told her she might want to start heading this way, by this point labor was very obvious...I had no doubts. I tried to get the house picked up and keep my mind busy for the 2 hour wait for Rob.

Rob and the midwife showed up at the same time, about 3:15. When the midwife checked me I was already fully dialated and ready to push. Ava Rose was born at 3:53 pm on January 30th. It was hard as always but totally worth every minute.

She has a full head of black hair and weighed 7.3 lbs, 19 inches long. Perfect in every way!!!

Brand new, about 2 minutes old!

Taken this morning, shes 17 hours old..... Look at all that hair!

Noah's into fashion?!?

Eve comes walking in the Library where I am getting ready for the boys school lessons, and she is waring a movie. Yes, she can accessorize anything apparently. We have a tote of (not waring right now shoes) for the kids upstairs and she will pull the top off and try on all 30 pair, she is such a hoot! This girl thing is such a blast.

So if you ever need to know how to make that Noah's Ark video the perfect ensemble, apparently this is how its done.

Icey Cold

Today we woke up to ice everywhere. Which was great because that meant that Rob stayed home. The boys are having a great time playing outside in the ice, I dont understand that but apparently its great fun!

School is underway and we are almost done for the day. I am a bit closer to being ready for this baby. We pulled out the box of baby girl clothes out of the storage closet. I also found that I have 2 very large totes of baby boy clothes, that Rob tried to get me to give away....not ready for that just yet ;-/

Well, I need to get back to work around here. Just a reminder for those of you who are interested The Arndt Family will be on TLC (The Learning Channel) tonight at 9:00. They have 13 boys and 1 girl. It should be great fun to watch them in action.

Have a Great Day!

Oh that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever! Duet 5:29
