We had a wonderful summer storm role through here. It rained cats and dogs and the wind was blowing like crazy. The temperature dropped from 100 to about 75 within a few minutes. We sat out on our front porch and enjoyed the cold wind and of course I was watching for tornadoes. After the lightening stopped the kids went out and played in the rain and the puddles and had themselves a great time! We hadent had rain here for about 2 1/2 months. We still need alot more rain!

ARENT SUMMER RAINS THE GREATEST! SOMETIMES WHEN IT RAINS ENOUGH TO MAKE THE CREEK RUN OVER THE DRIVEWAY TO THE HOUSE--AFTER IT GOES DOWN--WE TAKE THE KIDS AND BUCKETS AND BUTTER BOWLS AND WHATEVER ELSE WE CAN ROUND UP AND THEY CAN CATCH CRAWDADS AND FISH AND SALAMANDERS IN THE PUDDLES. THEY LOVE IT. WE WILL ALSO HEAD OVER TO MOM AND DADS SMALLER STREAM AND THEY LIKE TO HAVE STICK RACES THAT START BEHIND THEIR HOUSE AND END WHEN IT RUNS INTO OUR BIG CREEK. WE DID THE SAME THING WHEN WE WERE KIDS SO IT BRINGS BACK A LOT OF WONDERFUL MEMORIES. WE ALL COME BACK WET, TIRED, AND HAPPY!
