6 Days to Go!

I thought she was going to make her grand entrance last night, but she changed her mind...silly girl. Rob and I took the kids and the dogs for a walk because it was beautiful yesterday. I wasn't sure I was going to make it home. Very strong contractions but they were more pain than pressure. They continued for about 2 hours then tapered off. For me this is not the norm, I usually go right into hard labor with little time to prepare.

Today I feel fine, except for this stuffy nose that I can NOT shake. I woke up at 5:00am and could not get back to sleep, its hard to sleep when you cant breath! So I just got up and fixed Robs lunch, sent him out the door and got to work on the laundry. I need to go put the baked oatmeal in the oven for my hungry crew that will be awake here shortly.

Everyone have a blessed day! I am coming back later to post a few recipes, some of our family favorites!

Thanks so much for your prayers!!!

I thought about live birth blogging, but if this is like my normal deliveries, I would not be able to type a word....Rob would have to do it.....and it would be basically...."well, she's screaming now....she's screaming some more....yep, the neighbors hear her now and came over to make sure she is OK"

Something along those lines. LOL

I do hope that this time it is a bit slower and more controled, but for what ever reason, my labor starts at transition. I often wonder if I am just dialating super fast or if my cervix is already at an 8 or so when labor pains start.

I'll give it my best effort though, I think it would be fun!

True true true!!! Thanks for the good laugh. Isn't it funny how labor can be soooo painful but yet we are still joyful, laughing, excited, do it again attitude?

Well when you are quiet on your blog, I am going to wonder if it happened fast already.

I just came across your sight the other day and I wanted to know if you designed the little prairie style dress for your daughter. It is beautiful! I love to design dresses. I have designed several nursing dresses for myself and a simple T-shirt style dress for my girls that takes 1 hour for each dress.

Anyway, it sounds like you're getting close to delivery! I have never had contractions begin and then stop myself but I know it happens to many. You may have a fast and furious delivery with the contractions you've had.

I hope all goes well with your delivery!

Blessings,
Mommy of six, soon to be seven!

Thanks for visiting "momy of six" ;-)

I think what has happened most is that I will use a pattern then tweek it to suit me better. I am just getting into creating my own patterns. Infact I drew out my first "from scratch" skirt pattern this weekend. I sewed it up and it fit nicely, as well as anything can fit right now over my huge belly LOL!

I would love to come up with some nursing shirts and nursing sun dresses for this summer. It is a learning process thats for sure and I am always learning new ways of doing things. Its fun though, and I cant wait to make matching dresses for mt girls in the future...how fun is that?!?

Oh that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever! Duet 5:29
