How much does the Lord except and embrace the following of other gods? Lets look and see. There are so many versus that I could not even get them all on here, infact there are 74 versus that specifically deal with warnings and or charges of following after other gods "false gods" Plus many more which relate in varius ways. So heres a few:
Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exo 23:13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.
Deu 5:7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me.
Deu 6:14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;
Deu 7:4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly.
Deu 8:19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
Deu 11:16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
Deu 11:28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
Jos 24:14 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
Jdg 2:12 And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.
Jer 1:16 And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands.
Jer 16:13 Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; where I will not show you favor.
I think I have made my point and to make my point even further there is only ONE JESUS....Yeshua Messiah....Savior Redeemer. There is only one infalable word of God...The Holy Scriptures...The Bible. All else are false "other gods" "another Jesus" "Baal" "satan" The list goes on.
