Safe and Sound in my Arms!

Thank you all so much for all of your prayers, I could really feel them pulling me through and the timing for everything was perfect...of course!

I called Rob at 1:00 and said that I wanted him to try and leave early from work. He said he would rap things up and be on his way, then I called him 30 minutes later and asked him "when are you leaving?" his response was "right now" good answer, buy that time I was very uncomfortable and wanting my hubby.

I called the midwife at around 1:45 and told her she might want to start heading this way, by this point labor was very obvious...I had no doubts. I tried to get the house picked up and keep my mind busy for the 2 hour wait for Rob.

Rob and the midwife showed up at the same time, about 3:15. When the midwife checked me I was already fully dialated and ready to push. Ava Rose was born at 3:53 pm on January 30th. It was hard as always but totally worth every minute.

She has a full head of black hair and weighed 7.3 lbs, 19 inches long. Perfect in every way!!!

Brand new, about 2 minutes old!

Taken this morning, shes 17 hours old..... Look at all that hair!

She's so adorable! I can't wait until it's time for my little one to enter the world! God is SOOO good! I tried to send a message yesterday, but it just didn't work out for me to.

How was the pain this time? I hope the red raspberry tea helped.

Blessings,
Heather

Hope you are resting and cuddling lots with your little girl! I keep coming back to see the pictures. Love the 2minute old picture with the vernix on her! Natural lotion for the baby!

So how many times have you said to yourself "I have 5 boys and 2 girls!" I would be saying it over and over and probably during my sleep!

Can't wait to hear from you again, but take your time and just enjoy the downtime. Is Rob able to stay home with you?

Its amazing having 5 boys and two girls. I could not have planned it any more perfect!!

I am resting well, Rob stayed home for two days then had to head back to work. They cant make it to long without him being there.

I am working my way through the first few week of nursing which is always painful for me. I am trying to stay off my feet as much as possible. But we all know how that is with other children in the home.

Letisha, how did your daughter react to the new baby when he arrived, how old was she when he was born? Eve is having a hard time with it it seems. She is very emotional and trying her hat at doing the opposite of what we ask. The boys never really cared much when a new baby came along, I know she will get past it eventually. Its so hard when you arent supposed to pick up anything heavy for a few weeks, and she is on that list. Poor girl!

Oh that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever! Duet 5:29
